This project is a collaboration between the minor Health Innovation Design and Robotics. The aim of the walking frame is to support and guide the elderly with dementia during its independent use, allowing them to experience more freedom of movement and confidence while walking with the frame.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<main class=\"wp-block-group twee paddingtopbottom3 has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-right has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-c391c374dab03fd529616be3eb417f96\"><strong>What has been realised?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-dc00c5fd09cd07545c93de53c87acdff wp-block-paragraph\">This project began with a creative approach, generating out-of-the-box ideas and applying both new and existing concepts. In the development phase, a prototype was designed to address the key challenges faced by the elderly with dementia. A crucial stage was validating the prototype with the target group, which yielded promising results and positive feedback. Throughout the project, the students focused on client-centred work, with emphasis beyond just the project itself. The end result is an elegant prototype specifically tailored to the needs of the target group. The prototype is currently being developed into a go-to-market model by a commercial party.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/main>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group twee paddingtopbottom3 has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-24d7d2d4ed4d60f38f0414d307503ef7\"><strong>What has been learned?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3be4b503c43792b24acf1d0d2a14fed7 wp-block-paragraph\">Within the project, the project members primarily learned to collaborate effectively. The group consisted of two completely different minors, which presented a significant challenge. Aligning schedules, expertise, and expectations of the final outcome was of great importance.
