The aim was to create a solution that would allow SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) in the manufacturing sector, even those without technical expertise, to easily get started with robotisation. This lowers the barrier to entry and makes the step towards smart automation achievable for everyone.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-group paddingtopbottom3 has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-right\">What has been realised?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\">The students have developed an accessible demonstrator that shows how a cobot can autonomously perform post-processing tasks. By utilising programmable workflows and sensor technology, the cobot can carry out tasks such as sanding, polishing, and deburring with consistent quality. The solution has a modular design, allowing it to be easily adapted to different SME applications.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-group paddingtopbottom3 has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What have they learned?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project group has learned how collaborative robots can be deployed in production environments. They have gained experience in programming cobots, integrating post-processing tools, and designing user-friendly interfaces.
