Within the Breda Robotics ecosystem, Ericsson contributes as a producer and service provider in the field of robotics and digital infrastructure. The organisation is actively exploring the possibilities of robotics and has committed to investing in this area within three years. By collaborating with educational institutions and SMEs, Ericsson stimulates technological innovation with societal impact. An example of their innovative approach is the project with self-balancing robots, developed by students from Avans University of Applied Sciences during an internship at Ericsson. These robots communicated via an Android app and were able to navigate and collaborate autonomously thanks to precise localisation and low latency via 5G networks.
