Nikwist's role within Breda Robotics lies at the heart of what makes robots move: control systems. Nikwist specialises in motion control, motion planning, and mechatronics – the control engineering and algorithms that ensure machines and robots move accurately, efficiently, and reliably. With a strong research background from KU Leuven, Nikwist helps companies solve complex control challenges and take innovative technology to a higher level. Within the Breda Robotics network, this expertise is a valuable addition to the hardware, electronics, and applications of other partners. The motivation for joining Breda Robotics stems from the desire to share knowledge and bring research and practice closer together. Through Breda Robotics, Nikwist aims to connect with companies, knowledge institutions, and students on both sides of the border, and to contribute to an ecosystem where technological innovation and talent development converge. With R&D projects, consultancy, and training, Nikwist is keen to contribute to the region's robotisation ambitions.
