The agricultural and agro-food sector in Flanders and the Southern Netherlands is facing major transitions in terms of sustainability, labour, food quality, and climate. Interreg Smart AgriFoodTech Solutions (SAFT Solutions) is responding to this by making smart technologies such as robotics, AI, vision, and data-driven smart farming practically applicable in agricultural practice.

In this cross-border Interreg project, farmers, technology companies, knowledge institutions, field labs and network organisations from the Netherlands and Flanders are working together on a demand-driven approach. Concrete practical challenges form the starting point for the development of innovative and scalable solutions for the agrofood sector.
