The Breda Robotics XXL Event on 7 and 9 May brought together innovation, talent, and collaboration in Breda. During two inspiring days, entrepreneurs, education, government, and the general public discovered how robotics and AI are already being applied today – from strategic discussions and practical cases to interactive demonstrations and hands-on experiences for young and old.
Day 1: Collaboration as the foundation for innovation
The first day was dedicated to entrepreneurs, education, and government. We started with a closed session in which representatives from the business community and the administration discussed the future and ambitions of Breda Robotics, Breda, and the region.
In this setting, strengthening collaboration and determining a shared direction were central – an important foundation for further growth and impact.
During this private segment, a special moment also took place: the official unveiling of the new name B’Robotics. And as befits a future-oriented community, this announcement was made by a humanoid robot.
With B’Robotics, a clear step is being taken towards the next phase of innovation, collaboration, and robotics development, with a strong focus on national and European growth and impact. The future, in which humans and robots collaborate ever more closely, is approaching faster – and B’Robotics is ready to play an active role in it.
After the closed programme, the doors opened for visitors. Throughout the day, inspiration and practice came together: from talks and live demonstrations to meetings with partners and in-depth discussions.
Visitors discovered how robotics and AI are already being applied today in sectors such as healthcare, agri-food, and industry. They were also able to participate in side events on healthcare robotics and entrepreneurship, where concrete applications and practical experiences were shared.
The result: an inspiring day where knowledge sharing, networking, and new collaborations were central.

Inspiring side events and interactive experiences
Besides the main programme, the side events offered additional depth and interaction.
During the Healthcare Robotics event, the deployment of technology in healthcare was explored, with a focus on practical applications and collaboration between healthcare organisations and innovators.
With Error 404: Scale or Fail, startups and scale-ups received honest insights into growth, scaling, and the challenges involved.
Together, these programme components provided a broad and in-depth offering for various target groups, from professionals to students and policymakers.
Day 2: Breda as a City of Solutions – for Young and Old
On Saturday 9th May, the event opened its doors to the general public. The second day was entirely dedicated to Breda as a City of Solutions. As an open and continuously accessible event, visitors could drop in at any time to discover robotics and AI, watch demonstrations, and experience technology for themselves.
With over 800 visitors, it was a vibrant and very successful day. Families, young people, tech enthusiasts and professionals came together to experience how innovations are not only developed, but are also visible and applicable in the city and region.
The energy was palpable in every corner of the venue. Visitors were introduced to live robot demonstrations, AI workshops, VR experiences, and interactive installations. There were also contributions from, among others, the fire brigade, FIRST League teams, and various partners, making technology tangible and accessible to everyone.
Day 2 brought the story of Breda to life: one city, one shared ambition. Breda Robotics fulfils a connecting role in this by bringing together businesses, education, talent, and government and making innovation tangible.

Together possible
The Breda Robotics XXL Event was made possible in part by the Municipality of Breda, the Province of North Brabant, Klikopmorgen.nl and Holland High Tech.
