Room to test, build and grow
The R&D project B’BOT Shared Startup Facility investigates the need for Shared technical facilities for West Brabant (tech) start-ups, scale-ups and innovative SMEs who work with robotics, AI and smart manufacturing technology.
Cause
Many technology companies, in their early growth phase, not only need office space but also physical space to build, test, demonstrate and integrate prototypes. In this project, partners are mapping out:
- Which Technical and facility requirements these companies have;
- what existing offerings there are in the region;
- where additional or shared facilities are required.

What does the project focus on?
The project decidedly focuses on shared facilities such as test and demo setups, experimentation space, and access to machinery, and not on regular business development support (which is already well provided by existing initiatives).
The results form the basis for:
- a potential stepping stone to a broader Robot Campus within the Breda Innovation District.
- a clear Position and role definition of a possible B’BOT facility;
- strengthening and improving cooperation between existing initiatives;
Execution
The project is being carried out by Breda Robotics in collaboration with educational institutions, municipalities and regional partners and contributes to an attractive and future-proof Robotics and AI innovation ecosystem in West Brabant.
