NATO has published the Innovation Scale-up Package, aimed at scaling up defence production within the alliance. The package consists of three components: Rapid Adoption, Financing and Manufacturing (the NATO Engine). Read more about the full package on the official NATO page.
The NATO Engine connects manufacturers with available production capacity to companies looking to scale up their production, in particular new suppliers in the defence sector. Companies can make use of existing factories or temporarily available production capacity. The pilot for the Engine starts in September 2026.

For whom?
NSPA (NATO Support and Procurement Agency) is compiling a list of manufacturers with capacity for the coming 12 months within:
- Additive manufacturing
- Engineering services
- Manufacturing-as-a-service
Areas of interest: automotive, electronic manufacturing services, aerospace, metalworking, additive manufacturing/3D printing, digital engineering, mechanical engineering and others.

Interested companies can register before 27 August 2026 register via the button below. Registration requires an NCAGE code (which can be requested via the NSPA Codification Tool) and the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number as the national registration number.
