Project information
In this project, a robot was developed that must be able to position itself accurately using GPS. This project was carried out to make agriculture possible on small plots of land (pixel farming). In this way, we are working towards sustainable urban agriculture.
What has been realised?
The project group has been given the opportunity to develop a robot from scratch. The project incorporates a competitive element to position the robot as quickly as possible. Within the project, GPS was used to navigate the robot along a route. Cameras can be mounted on the frame by a subsequent group to eventually recognise and remove plants and weeds.
What has been learned?
The project members have learned to collaborate with students from different disciplines. In doing so, the project members have gained knowledge about project management and connecting navigation software to a robot.
