The project group has developed a racing simulator, with the simulator having four degrees of freedom. The group has developed a mechanical and electrical system to enable the movement.
What has been realised?
Within the project, a racing simulator has been developed. One of the biggest challenges that has emerged is to position the simulator accurately and quickly. Multiple motors have been used to position the system. By documenting the design well, the project can be easily transferred to a new project group.
What have they learned?
Within the project, students from various disciplines participated. It was challenging to get everyone on the same page, as everyone has a different approach to a project. The project group learned that creating a good design is half the battle. This prevents errors that emerge during the realisation process.
