Project information
The central problem within this project was that design students were unable to prototype with different robot platforms. To enable prototyping, the robot platforms were linked to the ORC protocol (a method for communicating with robots). This allows students to program the robots in a simple way.
What has been realised?
Software has been set up in the project for different robot platforms. This allows CMD students to configure different robots with just a few clicks of a button. This makes it easy to make different robots move in a desired way via an app.
What have they learned?
Working together with students from different studies has given the project depth. By collaborating, the students have gained insight into different types of subject areas. Furthermore, the students learned that the research results, the transferability, and the sustainability of the project are of great importance.
